6 days, 7 Different Rivers, 11 Sections
During the 6 days in France the group, or at least some of the group paddled the Durance, Ubaye, Guil, Onde, Gyronde, Gyr and the Guisanne. Here are a few pictures of the exploits |

Getting on at the top of the Guisanne here is Rob and Rich, with Steve taking the photo, before meeting the group a few hundred metres downstream for the rest of the river
Waiting around on the Ubaye, Rob having just pulled Mikes boat out of the water on the Racecourse Section. This was following a rather nasty pourover that first left Drive swimming, floowed by Steve experiencing a washing machine effect and finally Mike coming a cropper |
Rob again, this time on the Gyronde, a day when only Rob, Rich, Steve and Matt paddled along with a Guy called Ollie, originally from New Zealand |
Steve at the bottom of the Gyr having had a nasty roll, righting himself minus the skin from four knucles |
Steve again, this time navigating the Triple Falls rapid at the get on for the River Guil. Meeting more of the group just below the rapid to continue on down the river |
Rich now doing the Triple Falls |
With Steve and Rich having met with more of the group, we see Mike, followed by Melvin making their way down the river Guil |
Jon gets a little air of a drop as he travels down the Guil |
Drive takes the same line as Jon down the Guil but.... |
...it all seems to have gone a bit Pete Tong as Drive joins the fishes |
Rob looks a little uneasy as the Guil seems to have a taste for the back of his boat and back looped on many occasions |
Drive wasn't the only victim to be claimed by the Guil, Melvin took another swim as did Alex and ended up on the wrong side on the river. A perfect chance to practice to rescue techniques |

The other half of the picture of Alex's Rescue, Steve with a sling and crab loose on the rope between Alex and Jon and Mike to enable extra lateral pull to bring him safely to the correct side |
